{"id":3201,"date":"2019-08-28T20:54:15","date_gmt":"2019-08-28T08:54:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/?p=3201"},"modified":"2019-08-28T20:54:15","modified_gmt":"2019-08-28T08:54:15","slug":"teen-shoot-a-beautiful-model-at-naval-point-lyttelton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/2019\/08\/28\/teen-shoot-a-beautiful-model-at-naval-point-lyttelton\/","title":{"rendered":"Teen shoot &#8211; a beautiful model at Naval Point, Lyttelton"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Teen Photography | Christchurch Photographer<\/h4>\n<h5>A new location<\/h5>\n<p>Last night I had an amazing photoshoot with Lisa-Quan who is a high school student, hip-hop dancer and loves to pose for social media with her friends. \u00a0Her Mum suggested Naval Point for the photoshoot. \u00a0The light was extremely beautiful and it was a warm night for August. \u00a0It took me a wee while to get my bearings in a brand new location but I started to get the hang of the light there and made some beautiful images for Lisa-Quan and her Mum.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3207\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCF0137-web.jpg?resize=533%2C800\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3215\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCF0034-web.jpg?resize=533%2C800\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>The importance of teen photos<\/h5>\n<p>I told Lisa-Quan&#8217;s Mum that when I was a teenager there was no such thing as a magazine style fashion shoot for teens. My mum took me to a studio in Christchurch in the school holidays where you didn&#8217;t need a booking. \u00a0A bit like the equivalent of a hair dresser that doesn&#8217;t require bookings and you can just walk in straight off the street. \u00a0The photographer, bless his heart, would do the same pose every year, a weird head tilt. \u00a0I would be dressed in my best, which was not particularly fashionable. \u00a0Maybe a bit for the time, but I was anything but funky. \u00a0I call them geek shots. \u00a0You look geeky &#8211; one tilted head pose and snap, got the photo. \u00a0See you later.<\/p>\n<h5>Beautiful Shots of teenagers<\/h5>\n<p>I aim to take beautiful shots of teens. \u00a0I can make even the geekiest \u00a0teen look good. \u00a0It is such a boost to your confidence to have a lovely photo of yourself. I can remove pimples in photoshop but I don&#8217;t alter the person. \u00a0We all have break outs now and then and deserve to have that spot removed. \u00a0I make the person look go through clothing, cool posing and camera angles. \u00a0I try my absolute hardest!!!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve had several teen shoots now and they are the best age to work with. \u00a0I make them look like they are straight out of a magazine. \u00a0No geekiness here!<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3203\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCF0199-web.jpg?resize=533%2C800\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3204\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCF0205-web.jpg?resize=533%2C800\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3208\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCF0108-web.jpg?resize=533%2C800\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3209\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCF0101-web.jpg?resize=533%2C800\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3213\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCF0057-web.jpg?resize=533%2C800\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3218\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCF9984-web.jpg?resize=533%2C800\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Amazing Light<\/h5>\n<p>The best time for an outdoor shoot is at sunset or sunrise. \u00a0There is never a better time. \u00a0I encourage people to go out with me at this time. \u00a0Forget about teatime, forget about what you usually have on and have a fun adventure with me. \u00a0Go eat late after you get back.<\/p>\n<p>We had the most amazing light. \u00a0You can see the goldenness of it in the photos. \u00a0At one point the hills lit up red in the distance. \u00a0When I came through the Lyttelton Tunnel the sunset was a glowing red. \u00a0We couldn&#8217;t see it down at Naval point, but that was ok, we had the hills blocking the direct light to give a lovely light for nice skin tones.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3206\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCF0164-web.jpg?resize=533%2C800\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3216\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCF0023-web.jpg?resize=533%2C800\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3217\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.belindalansleyphotography.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCF0020-web.jpg?resize=533%2C800\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>My model<\/h5>\n<p>Lisa-Quan was a little embarrassed when the photoshoot started. \u00a0But that is usual when you are a young teen. \u00a0I made her feel relaxed pretty quickly. \u00a0I guided her into some poses and made her feel like she was an actual model.
