The other day I had the most amazing shoot with Michael. Michael is a student who loves acting. He wanted to shoot that showed his different facial expression’s and how he can act. He was after actor headshots, searched for Christchurch Photographer and found me!

I started off with a plain grey background and close and head shots of Michael he wore a white T-shirt which complimented the pale grey we did some different emotions in the photos and Michael started to relax into the shoot .

Then we moved on to a dark brown background which toned in with a black T-shirt and his skin tone. I really love these photos as they show his different expressions and what a wonderful actor he is.

We tried a couple of shots with my rustic ladder but the best seat we had was my black office chair which I now call Michael’s chair. I have never used this chair before in a shoot and decided it would be great for him to rest his arms on in order to be expressive with his hands. It is now probably one of my favourite cheers for doing male shots.

Michael loved his photos and found it hard to choose which expressions he loved the most. At one point Michael wanted to show that he could cry. This resulted in a lot of laughs as Michael tried to drum up tears by himself. He told me he can usually do it pretty easily, but having me laughing next to him probably didn’t help him very much.

Then we talked about onions. It was hilarious. I went out to my garden and pulled an onion and chopped it up on the chopping board. Michael held the onion underneath his eyes to try and get the tears flowing. But it didn’t really work and it stunk my house out. We both found this quite funny. I got a glass of water and Michael used it to make tears – shush don’t tell anyone.

Don’t you just love the expression on his face here? He actually looks very sad. When I showed him the photo with the onions we both laughed so hard we had tears running down our faces. So so funny!

If you are an actor and you are looking for actor’s head shots please contact me and I would love to take photos for your portfolio. Nothing is too crazy so please just come to me with suggestions.

A Young Actor The other day I had the most amazing shoot with Michael. Michael is a student who loves acting. He wanted to shoot that showed his different facial expression’s and how he can act. He was after actor headshots, searched for Christchurch Photographer and found me! Plain grey background I started off […]

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

2,8,15,21,25,26,40,55

post-3651","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-actor-headshots","category-backdrops","category-creativity","category-fine-art-portraiture","category-fujifilm","category-fujifilm-x-t2","category-portraits","category-xf56mm-f1-2

Plain grey background
